Safety tiles protect against serious head injuries in the event of a fall. In a standardized test procedure, a test institute determines fall heights for fall protection mats at which serious head injuries are avoided. Select the appropriate safety tile based on the possible fall height from your playground equipment. Find the place where a child should still be able to stand on the play equipment (foot position) and measure the height there. For example, determine a possible fall height of 1.7 m, the 45 mm thick fall protection plate is no longer sufficient and you need to choose the 60 mm thick fall protection mat, which has been tested by a test institute for a fall height of 2.0 m.
