„Water-Drainage-Canals“

Water-permeable
Yes. Urine and water are able to drain through the hundreds of canals in the mat.

Requirements Compacted grounds, e.g. min. 20 cm of crushed gravel 1-16 mm and top layer of finer gravel 0 – 8 mm.

Installation/
Assembling
The HTWA series is only slightly different to the HT series: The bottom of the tiles is flat (with only small drainage canals). Thus the mat is better suited for use on levelled compacted surfaces (no sand). Requirement to any such surface is, that it is not effected by freeze / thaw conditions. As a top layer we recommend crushed gravel of 0 - 8 mm. The layer should be at least 8 cm thick. Depending on the load the 30 mm or 40 mm version are used. While most of the times the mats are laid loose they can also be glued to each other or - if used on concrete - they can be glued to the ground. Larger areas require a curbing or finished edge. Clean thoroughly about twice a year using a high pressure cleaner. Put the cleaner to medium strength only. Cutting the mats is easy by using a fret-saw or handheld utility knife (for smaller areas).

Tolerances and note about material Tolerances in thickness: +/- 3 mm, Tolerances in measurement: +/- 2 %
Rubber-Tiles expand and shrink with changes in temperature and humidity. When the expanding leads to bending of the tiles they have to be shortend by some cm at 2 sides of the area (see separate installation sheet).
